For the 76A series, 374A and 78 amps, the knobs and dial plates need to be removed to replace the panel. Depending on the vintage of the amplifier, the TUNE and LOAD dial plates either have an insert glued on that is self-aligning on the vernier drive, or they are held on with screws and washers that clamp the plates inner edges and you may have to center and align them by eye. When replacing the TUNE and LOAD dial plates, they are aligned so thatwith both capacitors fully meshed TUNE = 100 and LOAD = zero. The meters may need to be loosened to allow them to slip into the big hole in the new front panel, there are 4 nuts on a bracket behind the panel for each meter. The easy way to get to them is to remove the power supply assembly, it is held in place by two screws on the bottom of the chassis (two biggest Philips screws under the capacitors).
