VHF1-60™

2-meter Amplifier

The rfconcepts VHF1-60 is the perfect mate for your hand-held radio. Given 1 to 8 watts input, you get a full 60 watts of RF output power automatically. When operated with a dual-band handie-talkie, the VHF1-60 automatically senses a 2-meter input and produces 60 watts. When 70 cm input is present, the VHF1-60 leaves the amplifier off, passing the signal directly to the antenna.

Built-in SWR detection drives an Automatic Level Control (ALC) circuit that reduces power output when an antenna mismatch exists. This condition is noted by flashing the SWR LED. The amplifier also features a thermal sensing circuit which, when temperatures exceed 131 degrees F (55 degrees C), will cause the amp to shut down and light the Thermal LED, indicating shutdown. Once the amp has cooled and the LED is off, the unit will again amplify.

The compact size provides flexibility of installation in your station or in your car. Operating on 13.8 Vdc and 12 amps, this unit will provide you with many years of reliable operation.
